Rack 'Em Up!

I received my tenth rejection today, the second on the year. This is the fourth rejection from this particular publication. Damn them to hell!

Okay, kidding.

I currently have five stories out there awaiting a response, including this recent rejection (I submitted it elsewhere). Guess I can't expect much when I submit to publications with a 1.3% acceptance rate. Aim high, I say. Oddly enough, that's the Air Force's motto, one that I completed ignored during my eight years in the Air Force. How ironical.

Or something.

My goal this year is to get twenty or so stories in rotation. Throw enough boomerangs and you're bound to hit a kangaroo. Someone out there has got to be dumb enough to accept one of my stories, right? Haha. Let's hope.

And here is a lovely tale about Cousin Earl.

Do they ever say why they are rejected? I don't get it. I think your writings are awesome. Stupid ass idiots. I think I need to open my own publishing company!

How about those markets with a 0% acceptance rate according to Duotrope? I'm determined to crack one of them. :)
